Hey folks. I’m Jim.

Big-time reader, small-time triathlete, full-time husband and father. I’m glad you’re here.

The most meaningful and impactful relationships are built on trust and communication, so here’s a bit of both.

My calling in life wasn’t immediately clear – from hosting a syndicated radio show to working as an exec in financial services during the Great Recession — these experiences tested and frustrated me, but also forced necessary learning and growth that weren’t always intuitive or comfortable.

The problem was simple, but not immediately obvious — I was suffering from a true lack of purpose, belief system, and self-understanding. My misdirected frustrations were based on the feeling that I wasn’t getting the validation I thought I needed.

First.

I reframed my approach to self-care. I signed up for a 12-mile Tough Mudder having never run more than two miles in my life, and to my surprise, I finished it. Running became my outlet for feeling better, thinking clearer, and driving creativity.

Then.

I got sober. Drinking was a core part of my identity, which made the decision to stop that much harder. I no longer had a justification for the behavior other than, ‘it’s just what people do.’ My success and growth was stagnant. My relationships were suffering. I wasn’t living up to my own expectations. Something had to change.

Next.

I answered the impossible question, ‘What do you believe?’ We are constantly bombarded with information and opinions that, without even noticing, we repeat and claim the words of others as our own instead of taking the time to think, question, and decide for ourselves. With a lucid mind full of direction and free of alcohol, I was really able to hone in on what I believe to be true and important in this world.

Finally.

I started to pick up the pieces after years of counterproductive, disorganized, toxic, and unsuccessful corporate experience — certain there was a better way. I quit my job and pursued a path towards coaching and development.

Personal development is a journey. Necessary, fun - at times, and never-ending. I have discovered I am an exceptionally strong educator. I believe intentionality is everything, everyone everywhere has something valuable to share, and Mookie Wilson is the greatest baseball player to ever live.

Over the years, I’ve helped individuals accomplish things they never thought possible, from running five miles to launching a business to completely restructuring a management team.

Time‌ ‌and‌ ‌experience‌ ‌have‌ ‌helped‌ ‌me‌ ‌become‌ ‌a‌ ‌learner,‌ ‌and‌ ‌I‌ ‌love‌ ‌sharing‌ ‌that.‌ When we succeed in cutting through the noise and bullshit, we open ourselves up to meaningful discovery and vulnerability. ‌I‌ really believe‌ ‌that‌ ‌we‌ ‌are‌ ‌all‌ ‌capable‌ ‌of‌ ‌amazing‌ ‌things – and this ‌is‌ ‌what‌ ‌I’ve‌ ‌always‌ ‌wanted‌ ‌to‌ create.‌

Greatest Hits.

If you talk the talk, you have to walk the walk. I’ve gathered a few of my favorites for you.
